Maxseal High Performance solenoid valves As per the 1st of July 2012 Inrada acquired the dealership of the Maxseal High Performance solenoid valves for the Dutch market. The Maxseal solenoid valves are especially designed for the most demanding applications in the Oil & Gas industry and offshore. For many years Maxseal, part of IMI Norgren, has been the leading manufacturer of solenoid valves for these markets. The completely stainless steel valves are extremely rugged and guarantee a long and trouble-free life span. The valves are available in 1/4" and 1/2" versions and offer a high flow rate. Pressure ranges are up to 12 or 20 bar. Specials are available for pressures up to 414 bar. The valves are direct acting and offer the highest level of safety and reliability. The first to meet the demands of ASME BPE 2009 The new check valve series from Steriflow has been designed especially for application in the farmaceutical industry. These valves can be used with gases and fluids and are suitabe for CIP and SIP. The 316L/elastomer disc units are autoclavable. Since no spring, hinge, mechanical return mechanism or stem is used, they are crevice free, have no areas for particle entrapment, minimize particulate shedding, and are fully drainable. Separate bypass system no longer required during Heat Up The Mark 934 from Steriflow is specifically designed to facilitate the sterilization of sanitary vessels including fermentors, bioreactors and autoclaves without the addition of a SIP Heat up bypass loop. The system consists of a high flow sanitary steam trap and a standard capacity sanitary steam trap in the same body. The combined condensate capacity of the two traps handles the highest condensate and air flows during initial heat up, replacing the need for a bypass loop. The standard integral trap manages the lower rate of condensate production during the SIP maintenance period. The MK 934 has enough capacity (9934 kg/h) to efficiently air and condensate heat up loads associated with bioreactors and fermenters. Instrumentation Valves Hex Valve, a division of Richards Industries from the USA, has renewed and improved its instrumentation valve program. Habonim Ball Valves for high pressure and high temperature Intensive tests performed on the Habonim H24 High-Pressure series, have resulted in a unique Fire-safe approval for instrumentation valves. Reliability under demanding conditions The Mark 94 from Steriflow Valve is a thermostatic steam trap designed specifically for use in high capacity clean steam systems where sanitary conditions must be maintained. The design features a 20 Ra (~0.5 µm) internal and external finish, and 100% drain, to minimize the possiblity of medium entrapment and bacterial growth. The new standard for steam applications Gemü has developed a new EPDM diaphragm, especially for pharmaceutical applications where high temperatures and steam are in use. The renewed composition is FDA compliant, certified according USP class VI, free from animal constituents and ROHS-compliant. Tests in the Gemü laboratory and the many field experiments indicate a 3 x longer life time compared to the previous diaphragm (code 13). The new EPDM diaphragm is indicated with code 17 and is now standard in all diaphragm valves of the Gemü sanitary valve program. The EPDM 17 diaphragm is a good and economically interesting alternative for applications at high temperature, where PTFE used to be the only choice. Safety in hazardous environments Per June 2008, the solenoid valves series 97105 from Norgren-Herion are TÜV certified for use in SIL 3 applications and allowed for application in SIL 4 systems. Habonim Cryogenic Ball Valves for Non-firesafe Applications The unique geometry of the HermetiX (Habonim patent) ensures zero leakage and a maintenance-free product life. New Globe Valve Type Series GEMÜ has developed two completely new pneumatically operated globe valves, GEMÜ 530 and 534 with a stainless steel and a plastic piston actuator respectively. The two new valve types use the same bodies and are available in nominal sizes DN 15-50. The valve bodies are made of 1.4408 cast stainless steel and GGG 40.3 S.G. iron. The new desigen resulted in considerable material and weight saving whilst offering the same stability. The cv values have also been improved by up to 40% compared to existing valve type 512. The maximum operating pressure for sizes DN 15 - 40 is 25 bar, for DN 50 16 bar. The standard version can be used up to 180°C. The new PTFE gland packing for type 530 is steam resistant and suitable for vacuum applications as standard. Versions for higher temperatures and with other seals are available on request.
